Sato's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Sunday, September 1st, 2041 Yoritomo Sato has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 27-year-old Vancouver Grey Wolves third baseman extended his streak today to 20 games, going 1-for-3 as Vancouver got the best of the Panama City Piranhas at Wolf Den in Vancouver, 8-7. "Yoritomo has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Grey Wolves manager David Krause said. Yoritomo Sato flied out in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, was hit by a pitch in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th and hit an RBI single in the 7th. A look at his current stats shows Sato with a .321 average, 5 home runs, 43 RBIs and 40 runs scored. He has played in 90 games. |
