Great Day for Gotaas -- 5 Hits Wednesday, August 21st, 2041 Conor Gotaas put on a hitting clinic today at Oakland Coliseum, spraying hits all over the ballpark and lashing Pittsburgh pitchers for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. However, the offensive onslaught wasn't enough for the Oakland Oaks, who still fell, 10-8. "Sometimes I try to pull the ball too much, so today I just went with the pitch," Gotaas told reporters after the game. "It's great to get 5 hits, but it would have been nicer to win the ballgame. too." Conor Gotaas hit a solo-shot off Jason Starkey in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
