Alexander's 23-Game Hitting Streak Ends Thursday, August 1st, 2041 After 23 games, Blaze Alexander had his hitting streak ended abruptly today by the Athletic Club KC at Athletics Park. The Panama City Piranhas first baseman failed to get a hit in 4 at-bats, bringing his tenure in the national spotlight to a halt. Despite the tough day at the plate, Alexander seemed unconcerned after the game, talking instead about the Piranhas taking a 8-2 victory from the Athletic Club KC. "It was good while it lasted," Alexander said. "If it had to end, I'm glad it ended with a victory." This year Alexander has hit at a .362 clip with 50 RBIs, 12 home runs and 39 runs scored. |
