Almost There: Montana On Cusp of R1 Triumph After 9-7 Win
An all-important Game of the Third League Championship went into extra innings at Panda Park, with the Montana Pandas eventually emerging on top. Montana has Eikki Kankaanperä to thank, after the center fielder was 3-6 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 in the 9-7 victory. The Pandas are now one game away from the Round 2, holding a - lead in the best-of- series.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With no one out, Kankaanperä hit a fastball from Yaroslav Red'kin for a 2-run home run. The Pandas, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Extras are exciting for the fans, but they are tough for the visitors because every time they're at the plate, they can end it with one swing," said Divided manager Jonathan Gerth.
