Stingers Roll to 8-1 Win Over Kingfishers
Toledo pitcher Ricky Sellers did his part in helping his team beat the Pittsburgh Kingfishers, 8-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Sellers picked up the win for Toledo, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 10-3. Ron Manning earned his 8th save in 11 chances.

The Kingfishers had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Stingers going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 27-year old catcher Joe Clark came to the plate. Clark hit a 2-run double on a 0-1 cutter from Pittsburgh hurler Kenny Aarnoutse. It was Clark's 8th double of the year.
