Kingfishers Get Road Win, 6-3
|
Pittsburgh starter Jared LaBarge had a strong outing against the Toledo Stingers at Pacesetter Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 6-3 win. Roy Lowe got the save, his 10th in 11 chances. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Pittsburgh.
The result might have been different for Pittsburgh, had it not been for Gerrie Bond. The shortstop produced a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Kingfishers ahead, 6-3. For the game, Bond had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," LaBarge told the Pittsburgh News.
