Lighthouse Come Back Late to Top Knights
The Kingston Township Knights got a sterling performance from pitcher Currito Fonseca, but the Lighthouse still prevailed, 4-2. Fonseca was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball. Long Island reliever Jorge Villanueva picked up the win, bumping his record to 4-1. Elroy Quaid was collared with the loss. The save went to Carlos Rodríguez, his 13th this season.

A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when left fielder Oliver Villalva, who is tied for 5th in the 3L in RBI with 79, hit a single. The Lighthouse went on to win.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Villalva said after the game.

Long Island is now 53-47. Kingston Township is 62-38.
