Wonder Powers Dodgers to 8-2 Win
|
Brooklyn right fielder Tony Wonder had a 5-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 8-2 win over the Oakland Oaks. With the win over Oakland, the Dodgers improved to 57-41.
With Brooklyn leading 5-2 in the top of the eighth, Wonder hit a slider from Hendrikjan Zweers for a bases-clearing double. It was his 23rd double of the season and put the Dodgers ahead, 8-2.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Brooklyn manager Erock Genova. "Our pregame was pretty good."
