Kingston Township rode a good effort from starter Chase Sims to beat the Pittsburgh Kingfishers at Cloverdale Legion Park. The final score was 4-2. The first-place Knights have won 4 in a row.
Holden Ford had a big 2-run single for the Knights in the bottom of the third inning. With Kingston Township leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a cutter from Kenny Aarnoutse and stroked the single to right. It was his 77th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Knights ahead, 4-0.
"I liked his command," said Kingston Township manager Rayzor Ray. "Chase was throwing strikes."
