The Toledo Stingers got a superb performance from pitcher Ricky Sellers, but the Montana Pandas still won the game, 5-3. Sellers was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 7 innings of 5-hit ball. The win was José Sipe's in relief. His record improves to 7-1. Ron Manning took the loss for Toledo. The 9th-place Pandas lifted their record to 40-57.

Montana used the timely hitting of Michael Malloy to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Pandas on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Malloy told a Montana Today reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
