Kingfishers Come Back Late to Clip Lighthouse
The Long Island Lighthouse got a superb performance from pitcher Greg Hodge. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Pittsburgh. The Kingfishers won the game, 2-1. In spite of the loss, Hodge was named the player of the game. He threw 8 innings of 2-hit ball. Pittsburgh reliever Roy Lowe was credited with the win, to go to 3-0. Carlos Rodríguez took the loss for Long Island. Pittsburgh has now won 3 in a row.

Yeow-whye Zhu took Carlos Rodríguez deep in the bottom of the ninth. His solo home run put the Kingfishers on top, 2-1. In all, Zhu had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Zhu said.
