Stingers Lose to Knights, 6-4
|
Fans who gathered at Cloverdale Legion Park saw a good contest between the Kingston Township Knights and Toledo Stingers.
Toledo center fielder Brook Linen had a good game, even if his team did not. The Stingers dropped a 6-4 decision to Kingston Township at Cloverdale Legion Park. Linen was 3 for 5 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs. Currito Fonseca earned the win to go to 8-3. He allowed 4 earned runs on 12 hits, with 2 walks and 6 strikeouts. David Blake locked down his 16th save.
Takenao Wakabayashi had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the third for Kingston Township. With the bases loaded and the Knights leading 4-3, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Wakabayashi told the Kingston Township Daily News.
The Knights are now 46-30, while the Stingers fall to 42-34.
