The Athletic Club KC got a magnificent effort from pitcher Jack Bennett, who kept Long Island hitters in check en route to a 1-0 Athletic Club KC win at Athletics Park. The winner was Athletic Club KC reliever Indigo Diaz, now 4-3. The loser was Will Hunting. The Athletic Club KC saw their win-loss record go to 27-49. At the same time, the Lighthouse fell to 41-35.
Joe Aller was the walk-off hero for Athletic Club KC. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Athletic Club KC left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"This place was jumping at the end," Aller said.
