Knights Deal Grey Wolves 6-4 Setback
|
Kingston Township right-hander Currito Fonseca pitched his team to victory over the Vancouver Grey Wolves at Wolf Den in Vancouver. The final score was 6-4. Fonseca picked up the win for Kingston Township, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 4 runs on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 7-3. The save was credited to Kent Horton, his 1st.
The Knights grabbed the lead in the top of the second. With no one out, Jorge Ozezera hit a 2-run home run off Hong-bin Hua, putting Kingston Township in front, 3-0. For Ozezera, it was his 4th home run of the season.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Fonseca.
The Knights move to 43-29 with the win, while the Grey Wolves drop to 35-37.
