The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Toledo right fielder Lester Threlfall, facing Carlos Rodríguez, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Stingers the 4-3 win.

"I was a little disappointed," said Long Island manager Michael Esposito. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
