Knights designated hitter Ed Mellor put his stamp on his team's 5-3 win over the Long Island Lighthouse. Mellor belted 2 home runs for Kingston Township in the contest. Jin-oong Mae got the win, improving to 5-4. He held the Lighthouse to 3 earned runs on 6 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 2. David Blake closed it out for his 13th save.

Kingston Township relied on the bat of Holden Ford to get the win. The catcher ripped a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Knights ahead, 5-2. For the game, Ford had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"Enjoyed this one," Ford told the Kingston Township Daily News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."

The Knights improve their record to 37-27 with the win over Long Island.
