Piranhas Win at Oakland, 6-3
|
Panama City starter Neil Franson had a strong outing against the Oakland Oaks at Oakland Coliseum. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 6-3 win. Franson went 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 5-5. Panama City is now 35-23.
Blaze Alexander dealt the Oaks a blow in the top of the second. Batting with the bases loaded and Panama City leading 1-0, Alexander, who is tied for 5th in the 3L with a .958 OPS, hit a 1-0 fastball for a bases-clearing double.
"I just trusted my stuff," said Franson.
