Dodgers Lose to Piranhas, 10-6
|
Cleveland Kraut helped his team muscle past the Brooklyn Dodgers, 10-6. In the game, the Panama City designated hitter went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Masahiro Sakei got the win, improving to 7-1. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 9 hits and 6 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 0. Getting the save was Jonathan Lentz, his 7th.
Kraut contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Panama City in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 4-3, Kraut took a fastball from Muoi Hoan and stroked the home run to left. His 8th home run of the season allowed the Piranhas to leap in front, 6-4.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Kraut.
The Piranhas, at 34-23, sit in third place in the Third League.
