Losing Streak Continues for Lakers with 7-5 Loss to Lighthouse

The Long Island Lighthouse beat the Echo Park Lakers, 7-5, at LA Forum. The Lighthouse got a fine performance from first baseman Mark Toope, who captured player of the game honors. He was 1 for 2 with 3 walks. Jeremy Brody, who went 6.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 5 runs on 6 hits, while walking 5 and striking out 2. His record now stands at 7-5. Echo Park is in the throes of a 15-game skid.
