Mellor Hits 2 home runs in Knights Win
The Kingston Township Knights defeated the Oakland Oaks, 7-4, at Oakland Coliseum. Kingston Township designated hitter Ed Mellor was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 3-3 with 2 home runs, a double, and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Currito Fonseca earned the win to go to 5-1. He allowed 3 earned runs on 10 hits, with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts. David Blake earned the save for Kingston Township, his 11th of the year.

With Kingston Township leading 3-2 in the top of the fifth, Mellor hit a fastball from Won-u Yi for a 2-run home run. It was his 18th home run of the season and put the Knights ahead, 5-2.

"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Mellor.
