Mark Toope made an impact in the 9-2 Long Island win over Panama City. Toope, who is tied for 6th in the 3L in total bases with 70, was 4-5 with a home run and 3 doubles, while scoring 4 times and driving in 2. The Lighthouse' win now puts them at 17-15.
In the top of the first, Toope pounced on a 2-2 fastball from Neil Franson and hit a 2-run home run. It put Long Island on top, 2-0.
