Great Day for Yi in Dodgers Win
|
The Brooklyn Dodgers downed the Pittsburgh Kingfishers, 9-3, at Ebbetts Field. The Dodgers were led by Jung-joon Yi, who captured player of the game honors. He was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5. Brooklyn is now 12-13.
Yi had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-0 fastball from Pierre Delecto, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Dodgers a 4-3 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Yi.
Yi told the Brooklyn Daily News: "Win or lose, I don't want to see our team outhustled."
