Kingfishers Squelch Knights Offense in Shutout Win
The Pittsburgh Kingfishers went home winners at Cloverdale Legion Park, thanks in large part to starter Jared LaBarge. LaBarge silenced the Kingston Township Knights, enabling Pittsburgh to grab the 3-0 win. The Kingfishers keep rolling, raising their record to 7-3.

It could have been a different outcome for Pittsburgh, had it not been for Adam Smith, the 26-year old first baseman . Smith contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fourth inning to put Pittsburgh up, 2-0.

"Glad to get this win," said LaBarge. "But we need to keep playing at a high level."
