Knights Get Close Win Over Grey Wolves
|
Daniel McCoy was instrumental in his team's 4-2 triumph over the Vancouver Grey Wolves. The right fielder was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Kingston Township Knights. Kingston Township reliever Kent Horton was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Ainanani Oliwa took the loss. Kingston Township, now 4-2, has played well in the early going.
The game was all tied up in the top of the eighth, until McCoy delivered big-time for Kingston Township, stroking a dramatic 2-run home run off Ainanani Oliwa. The game-changing hit put the Knights on top, 4-2.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said McCoy.
