McJannett Chosen #1 Player Monday, September 12th, 2039 26-year-old Donald McJannett made a few Ithaca headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and USSL Double A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 6 hits in 7 at-bats to put up a .857 average. McJannett collected 3 home runs, 5 RBIs and scored 4 runs. McJannett has collected 71 hits for the Fighting Imps this year, 12 of them home runs. He has also netted 45 RBIs and scored 39 runs while batting .280. |
