Farmers Give Manager Barroco the Brush-Off Friday, August 12th, 2039 There was not a dry eye in the Lancaster Farmers clubhouse today as word spread of Luis Barroco's dismissal as the team's manager. Despite the team's recent woes, Barroco was widely respected. "He was a real player's manager, a real leader and mentor to so many of the guys on this club," said one player. Another player had the same sentiment. "Man, this ain't right. I know baseball is a business, but Luis deserved better." |
