|
The Irving Blue Sox moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the visiting Casper Ghosts at Blue Sox Ballpark by a score of 5-1. Blue Sox right-hander Joe Holland was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball. The win gives the Blue Sox a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-5 SL AA Championship.
Holland tossed 79 pitches over 7 innings to clinch the win for the Blue Sox. The right-hander allowed just 3 hits, while racking up 8 strikeouts in the game.
