Yakima got a strong outing from Félix Aiza as the Hops defeated the Irving Blue Sox, 4-1, at Hops Park. Charlie Hilder recorded the save for Yakima, his 10th of the season. The Hops saw their win-loss record go to 50-51. At the same time, the Blue Sox fell to 57-44.
Yakima grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Ezra Booth delivered a 2-run single, to make it 3-1 in favor of the Hops.
"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said Aiza.
