Irving center fielder Ánibal Leobardo was instrumental in his team's 11-3 win over the Lancaster Farmers. Leobardo, who is tied for 9th in the SAA with a .492 slugging percentage, went 3-5 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Blue Sox. The Blue Sox sit in second place in the Silver AA with a record of 49-39.

Leobardo came through with some timely hitting for Irving. With the score 1-0 in the top of the fifth and two down, Leobardo hit a 1-2 changeup for a grand slam home run. His 11th home run of the season made it 5-0, Irving.

"We maximized our offense today," said Irving skipper Bill Clark. "That makes everyone's life easier."
