The Virginia Beach Whales got a superb performance from center fielder Alfonso Cabedo, but the Casper Ghosts still won the game, 6-5. Cabedo was named the player of the game despite the loss. He went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Casper reliever Amadi Azagba picked up the win, upping his record to 7-3. Eduardo López was saddled with the loss. This win makes it 5 in a row for Casper.

The Ghosts were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when right fielder Thom Scribbner turned a 1-0 fastball from Eduardo López into a 2-run triple. The walk-off triple sent a roar through the crowd and gave Casper a thrilling 6-5 win.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Scribbner.
