The Yakima Hops topped the Irving Blue Sox, 5-3, in USSL Double A action at Blue Sox Ballpark. The player of the game was Yakima pitcher and Santa Cruz de Yojoa, Honduras native Aurelio Ortíz. The Hops raised their record to 36-40.

Yakima needed the clutch hitting of Tony Rincón to notch the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Hops on top, 5-2. For the game, Rincón had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said Rincón.
