With left fielder General Booty leading the charge, the Casper Ghosts defeated the Lancaster Farmers, 9-7, at Farmers Field. Booty, who is tied for 3rd in the SAA with a .410 on-base percentage, went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 2. Casper reliever Melvin Conner was the winner. His record is now 6-1. Marty Sorensen took the loss. Norberto Huerta got credit for the save for Casper. It was his 12th of the year.

A critical at-bat came in the top of the seventh inning when the Ghosts sent 22-year-old right fielder Thinley Tshering to the plate with the bases loaded. The youngster shook off the pressure and drew a walk, driving in 1 run, to put Casper on top, 9-7.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Tshering.

Casper improves to 46-28 with the win. They lead their division by 4˝ games.
