The Lancaster Farmers and Virginia Beach Whales lit up the scoreboard at Virginia Beach Grounds.

A 4-RBI performance from the 21-year old catcher Ambrose Watkins helped the Lancaster Farmers beat the Virginia Beach Whales, 12-9. Von Hansen was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 20 of 21 save opportunities.

The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until Watkins delivered big-time for Lancaster, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Eduardo López. The game-changing hit put the Farmers on top, 8-7.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Watkins. "And not try to do too much."

Virginia Beach has now lost 5 consecutive games.
