Eclipse Sneak Past Sixshooters, 7-6
|
The Northville Eclipse topped the Westwood Sixshooters, 7-6, with third baseman Elias den Blick playing a big role. den Blick went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Eclipse in the win. Northville reliever Jason Gilbert picked up the win, upping his record to 9-1. José Martínez was saddled with the loss. Their 35-33 record puts the Eclipse 5th in the Silver AA.
The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until den Blick delivered big-time for Northville, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Felipe Deleón. The game-changing hit put the Eclipse on top, 7-6.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said den Blick.
