The Lancaster Farmers got a superb performance from first baseman Jeremy Pollock, but the Yakima Hops still won the game, 9-6. Pollock was named the player of the game despite the loss. He was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 4 runs. Yakima reliever Arturo Santiago picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-1. Curt Pless was collared with the loss. Yakima, now 34-33, holds 7th place in the Silver AA.
Making an impact for the home team was Tokaji Heida. In the bottom of the third, the 22-year old center fielder had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 7-5, Hops.
"We maximized our offense today," said Yakima skipper Leonardo Sánchez. "That makes everyone's life easier."
