Youth Win at Lancaster, 5-1
|
José Correa pitched a gem to lead Phoenix Hotspur to a 5-1 victory over the Lancaster Farmers. Phoenix Hotspur is now 28-34, Lancaster 27-35.
Phoenix Hotspur used the timely hitting of Frank Ray to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Youth on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Ray told the Phoenix Hotspur Citizen.
