Youth Win Streak Reaches 6
|
The Youth had to overcome a fine performance from Irving pitcher Ralph Minor to grab a 4-2 win at Blue Sox Ballpark. Minor allowed 3 earned runs over 8 innings. Benjie Cacdac, credited with the win, is now 3-4. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits in 7 innings. The 6th-place Youth have won 6 in a row.
It could have been a different outcome for Phoenix Hotspur, had it not been for Pancho Coloma, the 24-year old first baseman . Coloma contributed a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put Phoenix Hotspur up, 2-0.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Coloma told reporters after the game.
