Flyer, Blue Sox Clobber Fighting Imps
Irving played host to Ithaca at the friendly confines of Blue Sox Ballpark.

The Irving Blue Sox dealt the Ithaca Fighting Imps a 13-0 loss at Blue Sox Ballpark. Thomas Flyer was the star on offense. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Donnie Rawling earned the win for Irving. He lasted 8.1 innings, allowing no earned runs on 4 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 3-1.

With Irving leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Flyer hit a fastball from Glenn Underwood for a run-scoring single. It was his 5th hit of the season and put the Blue Sox ahead, 2-0.

"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Irving manager Bill Clark.

At 22-14, the Blue Sox find themselves in first place in the Silver AA.
