Behind the bravura of right fielder Ernest O'Neal, the Virginia Beach Whales topped the Casper Ghosts by the score of 4-3. O'Neal went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles for the Whales. Virginia Beach reliever Arvid Alberink was the winner. His record is now 4-2. The losing pitcher was Dave Shepard. Picking up the save was Kenneth Ferrell, his 6th.
