Benefiting from Mihai Dumitru's productive game, the Northville Eclipse downed the Ithaca Fighting Imps, 9-6. Dumitru went 3-5 with a home run and a triple, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Eclipse. Devoid Couch got the win, improving to 3-0. He worked 5.2 innings, giving up 5 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 3. Jason Gilbert earned the save for Northville, his 1st of the year.

Dumitru came through with some timely hitting for Northville. With the score 0-0 in the bottom of the first and no one down, Dumitru hit a 0-2 curveball for a run-scoring triple. His 1st triple of the season made it 1-0, Northville.

"We maximized our offense today," said Northville skipper Thomas Kemp. "That makes everyone's life easier."
