The Yakima Hops downed the Ithaca Fighting Imps, 13-4, at Imps Park. Ezra Booth led the way, going 3-for-5 for Yakima. Bert Hollingsworth, the winner, improved to 3-2. He held the Fighting Imps to 3 earned runs on 5 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 2. Yakima is now 10-15, Ithaca 8-17.

Yakima used the timely hitting of Johnny Jones to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put the Hops on top, 5-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Jones told the media after that game that the mood in the clubhouse is "extremely positive" after a win like that.
