The Casper Ghosts picked up a win at Grenadiers Ballpark, knocking off the Phoenix Hotspur Youth, 6-3. On the mound for Casper was left-hander Dave Shepard, who played a pivotal role in the win. Shepard went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. His record improves to 2-2. The Ghosts raised their record to 13-10.

Casper used the clutch hitting of Walke Mehoff to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Ghosts ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
