The Yakima Hops got a stellar performance from pitcher Chris McDonald, who handcuffed the Northville offense en route to a 4-2 win at Old-Timers Park. McDonald got the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed 9 hits and walked 0 over 6.2 innings. McDonald allowed 2 earned runs. Picking up the save was Hendrikjan Zweers, his 4th.

Yakima used the timely hitting of Ezra Booth to capture the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Hops on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.

"It was a solid team effort," said McDonald after the game.

The 9th-place Hops are now 9-13, the Eclipse 12-10.
