Fighting Imps Topple Whales with Late Rally
In a tight contest at Imps Park, the Ithaca Fighting Imps edged the Virginia Beach Whales by the score of 5-4. Ithaca right fielder Jimmy Robinson, who blasted 1 home run, was named the player of the game. Ithaca reliever Austin Bizzle was the winner. His record is now 2-2. The losing pitcher was Arvid Alberink. Despite the win, Ithaca, now 6-14, is off to a terrible start.

Robinson had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-2 fastball from Arvid Alberink, he banged a solo home run to left-center, giving the Fighting Imps a 5-4 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Robinson.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Virginia Beach manager Bernie Drake. "The effort was great."
