Leobardo Lifts Blue Sox to 7-3 Win
|
Blue Sox center fielder Ánibal Leobardo put his stamp on his team's 7-3 win over the Phoenix Hotspur Youth. Leobardo was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3 for Irving in the contest. Irving starter Ramón Flores was credited with the win after throwing 115 pitches over 7.1 innings. His record now stands at 3-2. Chun-yeong Byung-Ho was credited with the save for Irving, his 4th of the season.
Leobardo had a key at-bat for Irving early in the game. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 2-run double. It was his 4th double of the season and gave Irving an early 2-0 lead.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Leobardo told the Irving Herald.
The Youth fall to 8-10 and continue their lackluster start in 2039.
