Shamakani Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Northville in Walk-Off Win
|
The Northville Eclipse picked up a win at Old-Timers Park, knocking off the Westwood Sixshooters, 5-3. Starting pitcher Devoid Couch played a key role in the triumph. Northville reliever Juan Colón picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. José Martínez took the loss. The win brings the Eclipse to 10-7, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
Dean Shamakani was the walk-off hero for Northville. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Eclipse pinch hitter hit a dramatic 2-run home run to send the teams home.
"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Couch said.
