The Casper Ghosts defeated the Yakima Hops, 7-5, in USSL Double A action at Hops Park, with Casper pitcher Wilson Tamayo named player of the game. Norberto Huerta closed the door for Casper, picking up his 1st save of the year. The loss lowers the Yakima record to 7-9.

Casper used a timely hit from Cam Lumsden to get the win. The catcher delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the second inning to put the Ghosts on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Tamayo told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
