Fighting Imps Roll to 12-3 Win Over Eclipse
The Ithaca Fighting Imps met little resistance from the Northville Eclipse, beating them 12-3 at Imps Park. Brant Fields led the way. He went 1-2 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 4 runs for Ithaca. Luis Matos picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 2 earned runs on 7 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 7. On the season, he is now 1-0. Reid Myers closed the door for Ithaca, picking up his 1st save of the year.

The Fighting Imps benefited from a costly error in the bottom of the first. With Jimmy Wilcox at bat and Ithaca leading 1-0, the Northville miscue allowed Ithaca to plate 1 and take the lead, 2-0.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Fields told the Ithaca News.

Ithaca is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 5th win in 15 games.
