Saavedra Shines in Farmers Win
|
Lancaster third baseman Pablo Saavedra had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 10-7 win over the Virginia Beach Whales. Von Hansen earned the save for Lancaster, his 3rd. With the win, Lancaster pushes its record to 3-5.
Lancaster used the clutch hitting of John Castro to capture the win. The first baseman drilled a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to give the Farmers the lead, 6-4. For the game, Castro had 2 singles and 1 double in 5 at-bats.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Luis Barroco said.
