French contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Virginia Beach in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-0, French took a fastball from Bert Hollingsworth and stroked the home run to left. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Whales to leap in front, 3-2.
